Where did you get the name of your store, La Casa Guarneri?

The name comes from Casa Guarneri in Cremona, Italy, where the famous family of violin luthiers built some of the world's greatest bowed instruments for more than a century. It was the maker, Bartolomeo Giuseppe Guarneri (1698-1744), who is also known as Guarneri del Gesu, who truly inspired our name.

Are you capable of supplying schools and academies?

Yes, we welcome schools and academies as customers. In fact, because of volume, we would set a time to meet either in person or via telephone to discuss services we can provide.

What are your customer service hours?

We are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Sometimes you may need to leave a message, but we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I return strings?

Yes, if they are unopened. If the package is opened or the strings have been strung, we unfortunately cannot take them back.

Do you rent instruments?

At present, we do not rent violins but offer violins for sale.

What is the cost of shipping strings?

Shipping varies depending upon size and purchase amount.

Do you require insurance for shipping?

Yes, we do for string sets, individual cello and bass strings, and all instruments. This protects both our string instrument shop and you.
